The Concept Stage is the first stage of the Single Shield Prize. Eligible innovators are invited to submit concept papers describing their proposed innovations that could advance single-administration vaccine platforms for pandemic influenza A(H5N1). Teams must submit a Declaration of Intent (DOI) by January 5, 2027, before submitting a concept paper by January 15, 2027.

The Single Shield Prize Concept Stage Proposers’ Day will convene vaccine developers and researchers, biotech companies, and other innovators seeking to advance single-administration vaccine platforms for pandemic influenza A(H5N1). Hear about the prize’s vision, Concept Stage, and what the prize team is looking for in potential solutions. Attendees will also have the chance to meet prospective partners working across vaccine development.
